This is the baby boomer generation.  They are well educated, familiar with the Worldwide Web and are keenly interested in health, fitness, and living a full life.  Boomers want to age gracefully, stay active, and want to live their life to the fullest.  Aging involves all parts of our body and all systems.  It is a gradual process that we can speed up or slow down by personal habits.  Aging is not a disease but it is a condition that will continue at its own pace.  We can try to slow down the process by using multihormone balancing, taking nutritional supplements, and taking antioxidant therapy.

Baby boomers are health conscience and aware of the newest ways of staying young.  They try human growth hormone, eating healthier, and stay active.  They do not take aging as a process they cannot avoid; they try postponing it as long as possible.  Botox, plastic surgery, tummy tucks, are considered normal for most adults in today's society.
Today's population is living longer; many are working past retirement age, and practice a healthy lifestyle.

Healthy Aging Nutrition

More people will be drawing on Social Security; there will be a need for more senior housing, and enough medical programs to meet the needs of this generation. Preventing disease and injury should be the number one goal of today's adult population. Staying healthy while you are young will help you as you begin the healthy aging process. Human Growth Hormone and Healthy Aging-What's the Connection?

Healthy aging includes eating a healthy diet, engaging in regular physical activity, and avoiding tobacco products.  They also are taking preventive measures to stay healthy and detect diseases.  They are screened regularly for breast cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancers, depression, prostate cancer and diabetes with its many complications.  Poor health does not have to be a part of the aging process.  There are effective ways to prevent or delay chronic conditions like arthritis, depression, osteoporosis, and urinary incontinence.

Baby boomers are banding together to make manufacturers aware of their tastes and alerting them to make changes in their styles to accommodate aging boomers.  Retirement communities are sprouting up across America.  You can live in a senior community and still live an independent lifestyle, stay in the same location for assisted living, and stay in the facility for long-term health care if it is needed.

Those who are aging are demanding their rights to live and die as they choose.  They are computer savvy, traveling, and contributing to society.  They are not going into the aging process with an "oh well, it happens to all of us" attitude!  Those who are in their late 50's are taking care of their bodies, and longevity is increasing.  The population is growing older.  Just one hundred years ago, only three million people were over the age of 65.  Today there are more than 36 million who are 65 or older and researchers predict that by the year of 2030, there will be over 70 million of this age group in the general population.

Our aging population will have an economic impact in the years ahead.  More people will be drawing on Social Security; there will be a need for more senior housing, and enough medical programs to meet the needs of this generation.  Preventing disease and injury should be the number one goal of today's adult population.  Staying healthy while you are young will help you as you begin the healthy aging process.
